I had hired 2 bad electricians in a row and then hired Craig Dunman. He fixed what a previous electrician had seriously messed up in my swimming pool pump and booster pump outdoor wiring. He is extremely intelligent and truly is a master electrician. He is the only one I will consider hiring in the future.

The rates are fair, and the electrician Craig, did a great job. I have two other projects that I will hire the company to complete in the near future. I will request the same electrician.

I got excellent service from this company. I had lights flickering and a breaker tripping and they idenified the issue, fixed it in record time and even asked me if I had anything else to be fixed( which I remembered I did). I called in morning and they came that afternoon and I could not have been happier with results. Just great service. I will never use anyone else. Too bad I did not catch the Electrians name, he was great.

The gentlemen from Dunman were professional, and quick to solve our problem. We had wiring issues that they quickly put to rest, and now have fixed. Quick response, quality work

All of a sudden our electric oven wouldnt come on. The wonderful guys came and realized a light switch my husband had recently replaced had shorted out the oven electricity. They were all connected! Im sure my explanation isnt exactly right, but the light switch and oven plug in were connected!!!

I widened the pony wall to fix that. Not fond of the ground rods and ground wire showing on the surface. Would like to see those burried a few inches. Tks JP

I had a real problem. Old wiring that was truly in need of replacement. This outfit charged 150 to send someone out to give me answers. Instead of the experienced electrician I was promised I was given a young @@!! who was unprepared (had not even seen the photos I sent or the preliminary bid someone there prepared) who talked down to me, and never provided any help, But he was sure to collect the fee. which I paid just to get rid of him. I found another electrician who did the whole job properly and was polite, and who I gladly paid a lot to do it all, correctly.

Your crew is very polite, but extremely slow, which makes your companys services extremely expensive. Plus they didnt solve all of the issues, nor did they check that everything was working properly before leaving, which means they had to come back out and take more time to figure out they hadnt flipped on some breakers., costing me more money. Unfortunate

We had a 2 way 240 volt switch installed to a simple pool pump, with a “whip” run about 8 foot from our service panel. The electrician showed up early and seemed very competent. The installation was completed at the end of the day and the installation looked pretty professional. I was shocked to find out the switch installation cost was just under $1000! I was expecting a something in the range of 4 hours with a price of $400-$500.

Ten years ago I need an Electrician for some issues around our home that I felt uncomfortable doing. “Dunman Electric” was suggested to me by a neighbor of my parents who himself was a retired electrician. I am glad I listened. I have had Mr. Dunman and, his technicians for quite a few jobs over the years, including the electricity to my New wood shop in my backyard and, rewiring the main panels at my parents and, my homes. Called Dunman for inastallation of 8 undercounted lights with 2 switches. We were charged per hour for 2 men, one worked/one talked; they left without running power to the lights so had to have them back the next day. The work was satisfactory other than leaving without any power. The problem; wanted to understand the amount charged thinking it to be exorbitant so called to talk to the owner, left message with office to call 4/5/16 – no call. Talked to the wife 4/6/16, explained the problem – no call back. Talked with the wife again 4/7/16 – no call. Today is 4/11/16 and still no call. You would be wise to check their prices before they come and stay right with them as they work.

My husband fixed a light switch in the bathroom and in doing so shorted other outlets so Jason came to our rescue he added a wire and put the light switch back and next you know the outlets that were shorted worked.

We had Dunman Electric come out and change all of our pool lights. We first had a pool company come out and they spent the entire day here and were unsuccessful–they were unable to pull the wire through the conduit in the ground. So the next day we had Dunman Electric come out and in a matter of an hour (maybe hour and 1/2 tops!) they got the entire job done. And heres the kicker, they charged us less money than the pool company charged us (even though they got nothing accomplished). So if you need lights done on your pool, skip the pool company and call Dunman first! I promise you will be happy (and pay less too)!

I needed the power line to my garage apartment upgraded to code. Ive used these guys before and they were great then, and with the rats nest of wires leading to the apartment, it was no easy feat, but now its nice and neat and better yet, up to code. The only thing (which was NOT their fault), was waiting for the permit and code inspector which took forever. Would highly recommend Dunman Electric!

The service electrician did a nice job installing the breaker and electrical hook-up for my spa. Dunnam is kind of pricey, but the work was first rate.

On two occasions the pump which supplies water to our house on Lake Travis has stopped working. Both times the electrician from Dunman Electric quickly found and repaired a corroded connection in one of the cables running to the dock from which the pump is suspended.

I had a very tricky electrical problem to diagnose with a pool timer control box, but they did it and solved the problem. It took a couple of trips in which we thought the problem was fixed so I paid for each visit. In the end, once the real problem was discovered, Dunham refunded all expenses except the initial visit–a very fair resolution. I would definitely recommend them and plan to use them again, if the need arises.

Based on their previous service for us, we will always call Dunman first if we need an electrician for our commercial or residential property.

I am pretty handy and I can do a lot of electrical myself so it is very good to be able to find an excellent electrician that I would highly recommend. This is the second time I have used Dunman Electric. The first time was when I had a whole house surge protector installed and Craig (owner) recognized that the guts of the main sub-panel was severely corroded and needed to be replaced. Craig was able to get the parts he needed very quickly and stayed the extra time needed to complete the job correctly. The second time was to fix a main breaker that went bad. Becky (Craig’s wife) was very helpful and squeezed me in to get an electrician to evaluate the situation. They quickly determined that the main breaker from the utility company to my house had failed. Replacing the main breaker was not lengthy but the problem was coordinating with the Utility company to come out to my house to shut of the power so the breaker could be replaced. I felt that Becky did a great job keeping me informed during the coordination with the Utility Company. Craig is a very good electrician and able to explain what he needs to do and I can recommend him highly. The pricing I considered to be very fair for the service and work performed. I will definitely use and have recommended Dunman Electric to my friends and neighbors!

The surge protectors kept going on and off in the house, so I called the City of Austin power department to check and see if it was an Austin Energy issue. I thought it would be the next day before they came out, but to my surprise they came right out and determined that the left panel bar of the electrical box was weak (or something) and that it would it have to be replaced. They immediately cut my power and said I needed an electrician to replace the panel bar and an emergency work permit (if I wanted it fixed asap). Otherwise I could be several days with no power. I called my regular electric company and explained I needed the panel replaced and there needed to be an emergency work permit since I didn’t want be without power for 2-3 days. Their response was that they could get a work permit but it would take several days. I repeated that an emergency work permit would solve the delay and the city employee (he even got his supervisor to get on the line with them) explained the steps to get the emergency work permit. They seemed unable to recognize that having no power was an emergency work permit situation. I recognized that I needed to find someone who could comprehend the situation. Using the yellow pages I found the ad for Dunman Electric with a bullet item “panel upgrade”. Long story short, I called them and they understood what the electric problem was plus seemed familiar with obtaining the emergency work permit. Hallelejah, it was not a problem, the response was they would fax one to the city and the electrician would come that afternoon. Thank heavens I was sitting down. Brian from Dunman Electric did arrive and determined that none of the panels he had would fix my box (over 30 years old). I was seeing a long dark night ahead but he called the office and they went to the warehouse and got what was needed. He drove off to get the parts assuring me that he would return (there was doubt in my mind) and not only did he return but two other employees (Becky and Jennifer) came to assist him. It was dark by now and they were working by headlights. They got the power box fixed and did the additional work needed to bring our setup up to city code. The office staff had coordinated things so well that the city inspector arrived just a few minutes after the work was finished. The inspector gave his approval and then called the power department to come and turn the power back on. So our power was back on at 9:30ish the same day it was turned off. The staff conducted themselves in a professional and friendly manner. The company motto is “bringing light into the darkness” and that is what happened at my house; so, if you have an electric problem, call Dunman

I called Dunman Electric in Austin to come to my home and replace a light globe and wire for a light kit. The work was done excellent and efficiently. Their tech cleaned up the work area nicely, and was pleasant to speak with while in our home. Very good electrician company.

I have an older house, with occasionally tricky wiring and he did a great job installing a new thermostat and moving a pendant (which required tunneling wiring through a solid beam). When my house was inspected, I was informed that I needed to have my gas line bonded. I was not sure how much this type of thing would cost. It really sounded expensive, but I also did not want the house to blow up, so I decided to call an electrician. I couldn’t even get a return phone call from most of the companies I called. Very frustrating. Dunman Electric came to my rescue. They called me back within minutes of my call. The lady who answers is pleasant and knowledgeable. I’m used to most receptionists being clueless, so this was a great impression. I got my appointment for the day I needed and I met Craig. He arrived right on time. He was also considerate of the fact that I had to leave for an appointment shortly after, so he worked quickly. I like to know about the work that is done on my home. Since I don’t have much knowledge in electronics, I had a lot of questions for Craig. He was so patient and was happy to oblige my curiosity about the work he was doing and other things that were off topic. Before he left, I asked him for an estimate on putting up security lighting for the house, which he was again more than happy to do. He quoted me a good price for 2 lights and wrote it on the back of his card and initialed it, so that I could have it for future reference. The gas line was bonded in less than 45 minutes, the price was half of what I expected, and I made it to my appointment on time. Looks like I have a new electrician. No complaints about this company from me. I received A-1 service.
